Senior Executive Vice President and Representative Director
Shigeki Yamaguchi

Mr. Yamaguchi has been Senior Executive Vice President & Representative Director of NTT DATA since 2018.He has also been CEO of NTT DATA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTING, Inc. since 2022. He initially joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation (known as NTT) in 1984.

Mr. Yamaguchi currently serves as the head of Consulting & Asset Business Transformation Headquarters. He is also responsible for Technology Consulting＆Solution Segment and Social Design Office. Before his current position, Mr. Yamaguchi served as head of Japan’s Public & Social Infrastructure. He oversaw NTT DATA’s business in China and the Asia Pacific, where he has expanded both revenue and profit.

He has extensive experience developing new business markets and digital transformation, driving NTT DATA’s strength in business consulting, ERP, e-Commerce, Customer Experience, and payment services. In 2009, he led the establishment of QUNIE Corporation, an IT and management consulting company and a 100%-owned subsidiary of NTT DATA, specializing in business strategy and transformation. Other than this, Mr. Yamaguchi has been Vice-Chairman of the Japan Institute of IT since 2018.
He graduated from Hitotsubashi University with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1984.
